John Harper,son of David & Indiana Harding Harper was born in Fountain County, Indiana Nov 27, 1874 and departed this life at 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning Aug 3, 1940 at his home here in Waynetown Ind in the vicinity where he had spent his entire life. John had not enjoyed his usual good health but was able to greet his friends & enjoy visiting them until 2 weeks ago when he became seriously ill. During this time, every effort was made by his family to prolong his life & to lighten his suffering. On March 10, 1898 John married Martha Myers, who survives. To this devoted couple were born 3 children, Thomas and Chester Harper who survive their father both living in Crawfordsville and their sister having died in infancy. John was a member of the Waynetown Christian Church where he was interested in all ...sorry, rest gone

Waynetown – Funeral services were held in Waynetown for John Harper, 65. Born in Fountain County, he had lived in Waynetown 20 years. He was a member of the Christian Church. The widow, two sons and a sister survive. - kbz
